The procedure itself lasts around 20–30 minutes and involves the application of the preparation through punctures made with thin needles in the appropriate parts of the face. These punctures are almost painless. If you are afraid of discomfort, the doctor can numb the face before the procedure using a special numbing cream. After the procedure is finished, the doctor massages the face in the places where the preparation was administered in order to distribute it properly

After the procedure

During the first 24 hours after the procedure, a cold compress or ice wrapped in a clean cloth should be applied to the injection site (do not apply ice directly to the skin) to reduce swelling.

For several days after the procedure, the injection site should be massaged several times a day according to the doctor's recommendations. If there are no complications, such as bleeding, it is possible to apply makeup a few hours after the procedure. Avoid exposing the skin to the sun or other sources of UV radiation until the swelling and redness subside. The full result is visible a few weeks after the procedure. During this time, Sculptra is designed to stimulate collagen production and regenerate and lift the skin.
